VISION STATEMENT

Adopted September 21, 2008

As Lutheran Christians, we belong to Christ.  Our faith in this truth makes our lives noticeably different from the culture around us.  This difference is visible in our priorities and values:

1.      Worship is central to our life.

2.      We are committed to growing as disciples of Jesus Christ.

3.      We understand and profess what it means to be Lutheran.

4.      The faith nourished and expressed in worship spills out of our congregation as a deep and intimate relationship with the needs of our community.

5.      Our ministries are created and led by laypersons who have a clear understanding of the way their ministry contributes to making the Kingdom of God visible in the world

6.      Our facilities and members exhibit a stewardship and hospitality that reflect deep and abiding love for our ministry and our church home.

“Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.   And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”  Romans 12 vs. 1-2
